Well, quite a lot has happened since I last updated! Fly Like a Bird is now the #1 most played song on my phone; I'm not surprised as I listen to it several times every day. It always seems to pick me up every time I'm feeling low, just like magic. Actually, now I mention it, this song is magic. Ever since the day I decided it was my fave, I knew it was.
And yesterday, I bought The Emancipation of Mimi: Platinum, which needs to go back to the shop! I went into HMV, went over to the rock/pop section, and looked under 'C'. I found Mariah's name, no problem at all. I took a look at what was there: Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (I really want that one, but at £17, it's a little out of my price range), E=MC2 (which I already have), #1's (very similar to Greatest Hits, which I also already have), Love Songs (again, I already have most of the songs on another CD) and TEOM: Platinum. My mum had TEOM: original, but not the platinum, and I didn't have my own copy. So, I grabbed the first one of that kind I saw, and ran straight to the queue. Luckily, there was hardly anybody waiting. So, I paid, and left the shop. Then I (stupidly) Tweeted: 'Got my The Emancipation of Mimi: Platinum. I love it!' I was so happy to be getting my own CD with Fly Like a Bird on it (I'm 13, but I'm also very excitable) that I smiled all day.
Then, I got home and took the CD out of my handbag. I opened the box (just to check the CD was there, you never know), and I got a shock. The disc and sleeve were there, but the box broke straight in two. It turned out, there was a small part missing in the lower corner that normally holds the case together. The CD itself looked perfect, but, in addition to being broken, the box was severly scratched. I just thought, well, why did they sell me a CD in such a poor condition? It's HMV, they are supposed to be perfect. So, I've decided it's going back, to be switched for an identical one WITH A GOOD BOX! The only problem is, I have no idea when I will next go to HMV. But this has to be done!
Apart from that, I'm perfectly happy right now (with regards to FLAB that is). And I have some great news: I only have five days of school left until the summer! Then I should be able to come on this blog pretty much every day, posting videos, etc. Keep reading!
